Default UMP stock - US version and GSG version pictures

So I took a picture to compare these two. The top of the folding B&T style mean't for the GSG-5. It uses and allen head screw instead of a roll pin. Below you see it compared the the US made version of the UMP stock. I'm not 100% sure which US made version it is but it has rubber on the back and top of the stock if anyone knows which one it is please let me know. The GSG one is a few inches shorter. I don't have a stock block so I can't test the actual fitted sum of the parts but it looks like it would work. Food for though since these stocks are nearly impossible to find... at least at a reasonable price.

My GSG fit perfect no modification , hammering, etc. It will NOT allow rounds to extract when folded, however. But to me, who wants to fire when folded anyway? LOP is perfect on it too. In contrast, the LOP on my G36 is too much.

I didn't think the us made stocks had the rubber on the top of the stock.

Really? They guy who sold it said it was US made. I couldn't find any markings HK or otherwise on it.

I'm not 100% sure but I found this with my searchfu....

    UMP folding stock question..

I just picked one up and the markings I found on mine are on the stock block side of the stock where it attaches to the stock block. There's a small circle with the numbers 1 through 12 in a radius and inside the radius there appears to be a date code of AI. Mine looks exactly like the one you've got pictured.

And if you zoom in on the pic for the Hkparts.net link, you'll see the US made stock has a few variations...there's no indentation above the push button release and there's no rubber pad on top.

I could be wrong though...which would be disappointing since I paid for an Hk stock.

Hmmm.... I did some extensive comparisons between photos of real UMP stocks and mine. It appears that mine is VERY similar but I believe it to be a copy. It has no date code. I compared pictures of from the HDPS website and the rubber molding along the top has a slightly different layout than mine. If yours has a date code then I belive yours is genuine.

Where is the date code supposed to be? I didn't think they had date codes on the newer parts.
Custom PCS German build MP5 clone. The best period.
