Default Seek experience with collapsible stock

All: Been toying with the idea of getting a collapsible stock for my 223 HK clone rifle. I've had under folding AK stocks, and after awhile I get used to it to the point where it is not a noticeable hindrance for accurate, aimed, fire.

Question I have for those of you with any experience of the HK twin spar, collapsible stock, is whether the stock forms a hindrance to proper aimed fire, or whether it is flimsy or otherwise problemmatic?

The version I have been looking at is located at hkparts dot net. This is one with a concave buttplate, not convex like one sees on G3's sometimes.

    Thanks all.

They're definitely not flimsy. And on a 93, they don't have any effect of making the recoil more, punishing, shall we say, like on a 91.

But I don't think anyone will argue that they are as good as the A2 stocks when it comes to precise, aimed fire. You can't get a very good cheek weld with them. But flimsy and problematic they definitely are not. They're very solid and work well for their intended purpose of making the rifle as compact as possible.

+1... and I will also concur, they are very uncomfortable, IMO, as far as cheek placement goes... the rails are far to low. I have one and it's built like a tank.

A3 great design as far as a stock. I've noticed the convex stock allows you to set the butt higher on your shoulder allows you to roll it up easier for snap shots and seems to fit better with body armor. I know the concave feels better and seats better with regular shooting.

Also you can ppick up a convex one 250.00 here: http://www.e-gunparts.com/DisplayAd....rSuperSKU=&MC=

Good luck and either way you go you'll be fine. I think all of these guns should have the A2 and A3 stock with them.

So, on the convex stock, what, do you put the toe in the "pocket" of your shoulder and roll it on in?

For a guy who shoots in shirt sleeves, you suppose the concave or convex will feel more natural and useful? I ask because I much prefer that price that HK51fan posted over the prices I've seen for the concave versions.

    Thanks.

For a 93, definitely find the concave stock that's similar to the MP5. Unless you will be shooting it wearing body armor I suppose. I just wish they made a 91 collapsing stock that was similar, I really don't like the old straight 91 types.

The 223 round in that heavier gun (compared to a 16) won't do you any damage using either concave or convex stocks.

Here, it really is a personal choice matter... which ever look or price that fits you.

Does not pertain to a 308, however. A semi might not be too abusive, but in full auto, and out for a whole day, you're gonna come back with damaged goods (i.e. your shoulder).:D
