Seeing that it's mine......go for it!!!
A local gun shop has an SAR-8 that was originally an SAR-3 but the "8" was overstamped. The gun was made in greece appears to have MAYBE 2 rounds shot out of it if that. The only downside is some light claw marks but obviously a refinish can take care of that. It appears to NOT have a perm attached flash hider.
They are asking $1600 and it comes with 5 mags, what do you guys think?

well a month ago I would have said it was $400-500 too much.....now I just cant say, they are a great gun and next to a German made HK they are 2nd(and in some ways better)
Absolutely correct. With HK91s going for $28-2900 on GunsAmerica and GunBroker that's a correct price on a SAR8 overstamp at this time in the market.A month ago I would have said they were out of their mind but times are a changing.I've got a SAR8 overstamp and a HK91 and the SAR8 is every bit the equal of my HK91---as they should be since they were made on HK equipment by HK trained techs.
Should you buy it?If it's in the condition you described and considering todays market I'd say go for it.I bought my 98% SAR8 overstamp in the summer of 2007 for $1000 but things are a lot different now.
mmissle is it seriously yours or were you just messing with me? :)
That's it in my picture........... It's at D.A. I already sold the Port w/wood furniture in the picture at D.A.
