Guess it's not dummy proof enough. Any advice?
Here's what I do:
1. go to www.imageshack.us
2. click on "browse"
3. find the file on my computer and click "open"
4. check the boxes labeled "remove size/resolution bar from thumbnail" and "resize image" (i pick 640x480 to make it manageable)
5. click "host it"
6. play many games of solitare while pic uploads over dialup connection
7. when pic is uploaded, copy the url listed next to "Direct link to image" (the bottom one listed)
8. in my post type [img]url I copied
that's it. I end up with this:

I have never tried imageshack so I cannot comment. I use phtobucket and like it so much I have now upgraded to a paid account, but unless you have lots of hits on your pictures you will never run out of bandwidth (the number of hits on your pictures is what limits your account, not the number of pictures you upload). You must set up an account there first. The account is free and only takes a few minutes so once you have your account, you pretty much follow the directions from imageshack. You click the "browse" button, locate the picture you want to upload and highlight them, then click "submit." The picture is uploaded and below the picture you have three options. The first is the URL address which you can copy and paste between or you can copy and past the bottom one which has the [IMG] brackets already. That way when you come back to the HKPRO page you can just click "paste" or "control V"and the whole thing is copied into your post.

Hope the users figure this out, alot of useres are posting thumb-nail size pictures with a direct link to imageshack.com instead of the close-up of the pictures - then clicking takes me to imageshack.com - leaving me with pictures of tiny thumb-nail sized images with not detail what-so-ever. :(
*Post link to the direct image for close-ups, NOT your image hosting site!!* :(
*Example*
Please click thumb-nail for larger close-up
testing - awesome. thanks also
I have tried to upload with imageshack but it never gets anywhere. Should I make my pics smaller? How long should a pic less than 1 meg take to upload?
