UMP flange to 3 lug?

Whats going on people. I have run into a snag and need some help. I can buy the 8 inch 9mm barrel from top notch right now, but i really wanted to buy a 16 inch 9mm barrle and have it cut down and put a 3 lug on that, but they are sold out. My question is, can you still put a 3 lug on an 8 inch barrel by recontouring the flange or is this a no go? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am not sure if you could cut the flange right so that it would fit. Mark McWillis did my 3-lug 9mm barrel, but he used a 16" Top Notch as the base. If anyone could pull it off, it would be him. Shoot him an e-mail and see what he says.

Are people still having problems with TN 9mm barrels?

Id like to know as well, but i think so few people has 9mm umps that its hard to get a range report, maybe we should have a thread about 9mm ump range reports?

I've only had mine out once after I got it back. I had one or 2 feed issues the first mag, but after that it was fine. I think it will be good to go. Next time I take it out I'll post another report.

9mm TN barrel,
Clean and Lube after every outing and you should be fine. Over 500 plus rounds thru mine. No problems...
