If it's stuck, you should try tapping it out with a wooden dowel from the muzzle.
I just got one these 22lr conversion kits for my G3 and it works beautifully, however I was wondering what's the best way to remove the barrel insert? Anyone have a good suggestion? No it's not stuck.

Take an old slipper or piece of carpet, short pile of newspapers, etc. Remove stock, lower and carrier. Hold by the muzzle and give it a bash on the material of your choice. Insert barrel pops right out... whether it's stuck or not. Mine removes very easily.
