What size bolt is that? Looks like 5/8 or 3/4? I think I will copy your idea, but use two hex nuts jammed together, and just run it out with a ratchet, although I like your T-handle design.

20mm is a perfect fit... All others I tried seemed to not be as snug of a fit... You will need a strap wrench to hold the tube and an extra pair of hands the first time you break it open... Or at least I did, due to the red thread lock... After that it comes apart pretty easily... And if you ever have trouble getting the main caps off a little time in the oven does wonders for loosening everything up just enough to get them off without resorting to a wrench (right Ronzo)

I thought (and still do think) about buying one of the Omegas, but your picture of it disassembled reminded me partially why I bought an Omega 9K instead - I don't need to take it apart and clean it LOL
One does not simply NEED to take apart an MK-9K for cleaning... I do so because I am an obsessive freak with an addiction for tinkering... Lol
Oh and btw... I have an SiCo Omega 9K as well and guess what... The MK-9K is quieter and has less blowback, all else being equal.

OK, fair enough on cleaning it, and good feedback on the sound level - but not what I want to hear LOL.

I have been told that the internal core is ALL STAINLESS, NO ALUMINUM. Since you have your's completely apart, can you verify this ?

    That is not correct...

The inner tube, expansion chamber tube (small slotted section of larger diameter) and the 11 secondary baffles are stainless.

The threaded retention ring, blast baffle and 10 spacer rings are aluminum.

Have had numerous PMs about my takedown tool for the inner tube of the MK-9K. I have enough parts to make 6 more that aren't spoken for... then I will be out of material. If you are interested in one please PM me. (Doesn't fit any marketplace category, so I am posting here)
