Default How to modify a full auto trigger group to fit on a semi only gun?

    Hi,
I would like to fit a Ambi/Navy trigger group on my HK MP5.
Right now, my gun has the SEF trigger group modified to semi only.

If I fit an unmodified ambi trigger group, it will not work on my gun even in semi mode, because of the trip lever (as my bolt carrier as been modified to semi only too it won't push down the trip lever).
To make it work, I guess I need to remove the auto sear (catch) and replace it with a semi auto one (maybe the same part as in the FBI Trigger group?).
Where can I find this part?

    Thanks.

PS: I'm not concerned by the BATF rules as I'm not in USA.
My actual SEF trigger group has been modified in conformity of the local rules, and I intend to do the same with the next one.
A semi only sear will do the trick.

I don't get your joke on the ATF.
I don't want to modify a semi auto trigger group to full auto, I want to modify a full auto trigger group into a semi auto one.
    This is legal here.
    Full-auto is not.

I see there's a bunch of funny guys here.
I was seeking some information, I hope more serious people will be able to help.

PS: Hey funny guys, check this post about my perfectly legal MP5 with original SEF (but modified) trigger group here:

I would gladly try to answer your question but I'm not 100% sure what you are asking. Can you post some descriptive pictures please?
With regards to the P7, there are two classes of people.

    1. Those who know it to be the finest pistol ever produced.

    2. Those who have yet to fire one.

Wilhelm: I already have a SEF trigger group modified in semi only, I would like to replace it by an Ambi trigger group that must be modified in semi only.
In order to do this, I need to replace the full auto sear by a semi auto only sear, I was thinking the easier way was to locate an existing part (maybe the sear from the FBI ambi trigger group?)
This is the information I need: where can I get a drop-in semi auto sear to replace the full auto sear.

HkChuck, thanks for the link but I don't have to perform all the mod required by the Batf.
Getting rid of the full auto sear and replace it by a semi only sear would be enough.

Are you saying the pak already has a pin on the inside of the pak to prevent the trigger from being pulled too far to the rear? An ambi trigger group
while it does have a pin on the inside it is in the wrong place. A new pin needs to be installed. The video describes this and the location of the interior
    pin.

I don't think you need to modify anything else than the sear if you don't relocate it as you do in USA.
I have checked my modified SEF group and the only mod I see is the sear.
    So I guess it's all I need.

If anyone can point me to the part in question, that would be great.
    Thanks.
