Out of curiosity at this point, is the training limited to 50 caliber rifles? I suspect that this course might not be what I am interested in as at 70 crawling
around in a Ghillie suit on a 90 degree afternoon in the South Florida bush with alligators, snakes and pythons is not exactly what interests me.

My interest are more in the nature of the techniques and quality equipment employed in shooting accurately at longer distances. My interests might be characterized as more like
a subset of the sniper aspects of the course. Perhaps, the course would be structured such that a person could attend a portion of the training?

    Thanks

I don't think it would be a swamp crawling class.

As I have seen in the Altair Facebook it will be mainly long range shooting in the Altair 2 Mile Range.

Any caliber with good long range capabilities is good for the class, preferable .308 or higher.

The requirements are 550 rounds of match grade ammo plus all the sniper stuff.

Chuck, don't you know that snakes are more afraid of you than you are of them? I mean, imagine the sight of you in a ghillie suit? I'm with you though, not a big fan of sweating all over my guns.
