Looks like damage to either the coating, or the lens. Whatever it is, it's not supposed to be there.
Externally the scope is perfect, looks new from 1989 when it was built. When looking through it there is a blotch in the sight and a bit on the fuzzy side. When looking at the lens there seems to be an airpocket with what looks like the letter P in it.
Is there a clear plastic cover on the lens to protect it until usage?
This is a model 3 Fero - so the focus is set at the factory. Am I missing something? Feel like there is something simple I might not know.
See what looks to be air spot lower left of center, and it appears there is a P inside of it.

The white circle in the picture here is the location of the air spot with P
I have been trying to find someone in Charlotte NC that has one also to compare theirs to mine without any luck.
Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.
So the coating is suppose to stay there, not be removed like the coatings that comes on new watches, cell phones etc
