I've found that the HK 45 is almost always out of stock, at my local gun shops. They are large shops with large inventories. Even many of the better online stores are commonly out of stock. I have noticed this over the last 3 months while I've been looking to purchase my first HK, the 45. Are HK45's always so scarce? Any insight will be appreciated. Thanks.

HK: No, that does not mean Hong Kong
Not that I am an authority on such things, but it has always been my experience that in general, HK firearms are scarce at LGS.
I went to 2 local gunstores today to see what all the fuss was about, increased gun sales. The 1st was mostly reloading supplies. Their handgun counter was 1/3 Taurus. The stores sell a lot more of the less expensive stuff, & that's what they stock. I'd just check the vendors listed here & order one. The right local store should be able to order one for you though.
I felt a strong urge resupply the bunker, I got some primers, one lb of powder & 100 357 mag cases.
They have not been easy to find and add the recent series of events and the law of supply & demand kick in. Not many available. I would jump on the one that TooSixy pointed out above at Nelson Tactical.
Anorris2 I notice you live in FLorida, check Shoot Straight for HK45's. As of two days ago the one by me had more than one in stock.
HK 45c BD
HK P30S .40 BC
HK USPc 45 AE
When I was at the Fort Myers Shoot Straight they had two HK45's in the case. Store was packed, but not slot of people were mulling over that section, it was all about ARs, ammo, accessories.
HK P30 9mm V1
Thanks everyone for the insight, I appreciate it.
Here in TN, I have noticed much larger crowds in stores....not sure if buying, but definitely alot more activity! As for HK, I have seen HK45 in stock, just not HK45C.
