Default license to manufacture hk rifle in US?

I wonder why there hasn't been a big enough market here in the US for the manufacture of the hk rifle line to the public?

Ummm, yeah, but I don't think PTR is an HK licensed facility as he was implying.

"HK. Because they suck, and I hate them" New slogan if they don't release the MR223 soon.

I feel the market is to small in the US. Add to that uncertain gun future that is ALWAYS under attack by politicians.

Although here at HKPro we are a loyal group, we are few in number when you take a look at gun community as a whole.

Also, the current trend is for LEO/Spec Ops to go to the AR platform. UMP/G36's have really never took off and 9X rifles are all but dead.

Well, why then is H&K itself talking about its manufacturing site in the US?

Hasn't happened yet, has it? The world-side financial melt down has put a lot of stuff on hold, in case you haven't noticed.
