Stripped 416 upper receivers available?
With all the talk of a MR223, I'd expect 16" bbls will be availble soon on the civilian market. I for one, don't want some weirdly pinned upper receiver. Does anyone know if HK has a part number for a stripped upper receiver?

So, exactly where and how did you come to this conclusion?
If I'm not mistaken, he's thinking buy a upper receiver for a HK416 and then convert the MR556 components over to it correct? I highly doubt that the German government would allow the design to make it through their approval if the swap was that easy.

HK reps have stated many times they will service even the gray market uppers if the need arises.

It's not a secret - call HK customer service.
HKPro mod Tspeis originally told me about it, and I called to confirm. I highly doubt they are going to have any info on buying stripped receivers.
