    Picked my MR762 last week. #1072

    On mine the brass deflector is aluminum.

    After 60 rounds it does chip the paint.

    Yeah, I have to correct myself. After shooting mine, I realized that the removable deflector is NOT polymer, it is indeed metal as mine chipped also just like yours.

    Thanks for the photos! Looks like yours has even another difference... you have the guard above the bolt-release. I've only seen a few examples of it. Not sure why they removed it or why it was something not on every AR-platform gun. Perhaps it was found to be a hinderance if you ever needed to hit the side of the firearm against something to release the bolt.
