I had the P226 then called the "Navy" model (same boat anchor and finish) that came with the SRT installed. The picture of the "MK25" designation does not appear to be the SRT

I must keep falling thru the cracks when it comes to all the bad the things I hear about Sig rifles. I own several HK pistols I'm saving up for a HK rifle. If they had released the dang thang a year ago i would have bought one already. I got impatient bought a Kriss and a Rock River PDS. Both for SBR projects. So got to save up again. I'll get there. But back to the Sig556 I have one of the very first batches that came out serial # is in the 2k area so I would think that's considered one of the earlier ones. It's not BLACK kind of grayish in color. I have shot it alot no problems and accurate as hell. SO I've always
thought the SIG556 is a great rifle. I hear alot of terrible stories about service and QC issues about Sig but mine is
absolutely reliable. But I know HK haters that swear HK is the worse company to deal with. I never had that problem either. I hope I continue to have good fortune with my guns. I to am not happy with the price of the HK but the MR762 is high on my list. The SCAR17 is starting to catch my eye. The price is right $2650.00 and I hav'nt heard to many bad things about the FN's. I guess I'm just a gun nut. Because no mater how many or what I buy. There's always something else that I just gotta have.
