That could be. Yaknow, I'm kind of surprised Wilson would have told me that there was no difference between the 4# and 3G hammer when there CLEARLY is. I suppose that could be it. Im curious to see a picture of the striking face of your 3G hammer to see if there are heavy impact marks like those found on mine..

This is just me taking a stab in the dark, but the hammer geometries are the same. However there are differences in the pull weights, so we probably have different springs. So maybe the two hammers/triggers have different masses and different springs allowing the 3G to make it through the firing pin safety with enough force to not have light primer strikes. The disconnectors on the two hammers are different as well which may or may not explain your slam fire incident. I'd be scared if I had a slam fire. This whole weekend I've been dry firing and pulling the charging handle back to see if the trigger resets each and every time.
I would really like to see if anybody else here has the regular Wilson TTU and had success with it. Seems like I'm the only one around with the 3G here. It is a very nice feeling trigger though.

From you pictures, the 3g hammer shows wear marks coinciding with the hammer and the firing pin safety. It's safe to assume, your 3g is compatible with the HK uppers from your successful use. Besides, TTU looks completely different from the 3g, components are no where similar.
Well, got back from the range.
PERFECT
It's soooooooo good to finally have a gun that works 100%. Rapidfire, slow fire, everything works as it should. I'm so happy, it just took a while. Better happy than pissed off, or having to switch to another trigger.
/end drama.
After all this, I suspect you'll be the only one with a MR556 & TTU combination!!! :^P
