MR556A1 target grip?

Hi folks

If i recall correctly the MR556's in the promo pics were sporting a PSG style target grip ~
are these out yet and if so where?

Not HK OEM, but I had one of these on an AR10 and it was money.

Pictured far right. It mounted the same way, and the palm shelf was adjustable for height.

The one in the catalog promo pic as well as seen at SHOT 2012 is made by Nill. Germany has them but the folks at HKI are concerned about the $400+ price tag which is why we haven't seen them yet.

Nill grips makes them. I ordered mine earlier this year and received it a little over a month ago. They have them usually in stock that are walnut in color. I opted for an all black one and it took a few more months to come in special order from Germany. It is the same one that is in the promo pics that is all black. I paid around $260.00 for it. I would post pics but I am out of country and it's in storage.

I was told it will fit the MR762 as well.

I have the Sierra Precision (2nd from right)mounted and LOVE it. The thickness of the grip gives me great finger/trigger placement. If a person has small hands(or LH) they would not like. I think I may order the black with the palm shelf and give it a go.

And that's the dilemma... For HKI to buy them from HKO, they would have to sell them for about $400 (two middlemen) when the consumer can go buy it direct for under $300.

The advantage of having an AR based platform is that the end user can accessorize it however they want. It's like a barbie doll for men. If you want a different grip, just get the one you want and replace it. This is exactly why there is frustration whenever there are small deviations away from the standard AR platform, because it limits ones ability to accessorize their rifle. Now if only it came in pink or plaid.
