    Default MR556 Lowers

The uppers are all over the place (not saying for sale, just that a lot have been sold the last few years). Is there ever a source for just the HK lowers by themselves to complete them?

Best place to find one is post a WRB ad here...if someone has one laying around, I'm sure they could help you out..

Given the rarity of them and how skewed GB is right now, what's a reasonable price for a MR556A1 lower? I'd hate to post a WTB and get some sudden sticker shock, hehe.

    Thanks!

HK doesn't sell the MR lower receiver. They are rare since only ones out there are from someone who bought a complete MR556 and is parting the gun out. Given the rarity, the price is going to be whatever someone someone is able to get for one right now.

The pre crazy price was around $2,500. You can make decisions based on that figure.

For the complete rifle, yeah. If you sold one for that much, you made out like a bandit!

I sold a stripped, new takeoff lower before the craze for a little less than $1000. I sold another stripped, new takeoff with a Geissele Mr556 trigger for $3500.

Interesting. I picked up an upper direct from HK and a decked out Spike's Tactical lower to tide me over for $470, for a total of ~$2500. I'd love to pick up an actual MR556 lower, but it sounds like I'll just have to be patient or try to pick up a complete unit if I see one for a good price.

    Thanks!

I remember those good old days when you can get a complete MR556 for around $2500. Sadly, we will not see that again!
