    Default HKPRO HK45 Pistol Update

It's happening! And I bet you guys thought I had taken your money to Gstaad for some winter frolic... The first sets are coming back to HK from the engraving lab and are being prepped for shipment. We are still waiting for a few batches of parts from the mother ship, but Christmas delivery is still looking pretty good! I've been riding herd on this even while I have been in the hospital getting my chemo. The nurses are pretty sure that I am some kind of evil Lord of War character with all the phone calls and stuff. I'd love to actually be able to show the folks there the product of all of this work. Lot's of gun enthusiasts at MD Anderson. Unfortunately, even a CHL is not good enough to be able to bring a firearms onto hospital property in Texas. Might have to have my wifey tote one in...

Anyway, things are looking good and it appears we are still on schedule.

And sorry for the neener, neener post, but I spent a profligate amount of energy in begging, pleading and paying for the set up to have my logo engraved on one side of the slide... Damn skippy!

And now to begin contemplating the next Buy. Here's the dealio: Part of the reason that the pricing was so attractive on the first go round was because of where the gun was made. We can literally choose from ANY current production item. With that said, it will still be the ones made here that offer the best price advantage. And while it would be complimentary to do the HK45C as the next one up, the pricing is not going to be stellar and I'm pretty sure the sales would not be nearly as impressive. With that said, I'm leaning toward a long arm. The MR556. We could have it tricked out with coolio upgrades and such and the pricing would be very nice, indeed. Nothing etched in stone, though. Of course, if the timing works out so that the MR762 is available...

I work for a medical device company and a few years ago we had a case in Texas (can't remember the hospital) where a patient put a .22LR bullet into a patient monitor. He tiered or the non-stop beeping and alarming and shot the damn thing. Monitor was definitely dead. My guess is it did not go too well for the gentleman either.

Best wishes for a successful chemo round and I suggest keeping the toys out of the hospital.

interesting that the hk45c pricing would not be as attractive. lets have a mr416 build with a lighter profile barrel than the mr556 and that cool sliding buttstock. or call it the mr556a3. (see what i did right there?)

Thanks for clarifying the HK45C as being a probable no go. I've set aside the cash & been holding off on buying one, hoping the next group buy would be for same & priced well. I'll start looking locally now. Good luck with the
    next group buy.

The MR762 would be great! I was speaking to someone at HK this last week and they said the first batch of MR762's were done. All they are waiting on are bolts from Germany and they will be ready to ship:)

+1 on an MR556, sounds awesome, and the pricing explanation logical. And your pistol is full of win!

I'd be in for the 762 or the 556.

I was setting aside funding for the .45c but will be setting more to the side with it now! I'm down for pretty much anything you are going to set up, I'm just glad you gave a little warning for me to prepare. Good luck with your chemo, I wish you the best.

    And your pistol looks sweet!
