Quick update picture, installed the LEM kit. Little nerve racking the first time. I have two more kits to install in other pistols, and sure they will go very fast now after that first one under my belt.
I have no mags for it, need to call HK USA and order some. Next up is order some Heine sights and a Surefire X300 Ultra.
The H-series is oven cure, the C-series is air dry. I baked the frame at 180 degrees for 2.5 hours. Zero damage, and I did some homework before talking to others that have done the same.
That would look awesome... Please post a pic if you end up doing it, I am really considering getting mine done now after seeing how great yours came out that tan really makes the black pop on the gun.
Looks great. I am interested to see how well the finish holds up. The few parts I have had Cerakoted have been parts that see a lot of rubbing (i.e. slide release) and have only held up ok.
I don't have a Kydex holster made for the firearm yet, that is next on the list. So it will be a while before I have an update on wear and tear on the finish.
I just picked up a Surefire X300 Ultra from Amazon last week for $159.99. So now when I get from vacation I will be ready to drop it off at my local Kydex maker and have the holster produced.
This looks excellent, I'm familiar with cerakoting and trust it completely. Ive holstered my USP 40 in kydex and leather and no scratches are visible at all. keep up the good work!
THIS IS SICK!!! i plan on doing this to my USP, but i also plan on going with CP2 on my slide... can anybody post a pick of a tan frame with a SS slide? this is to give me an idea of what i can expect!
I just added Heine Straight Eight Suppressor Sights couple weeks ago, need to take a new photo. All that is left is the thread barrel for the SiCo Octane can, and it's done!
