  1. SudS,

Thanks for taking the time to check this out. I've got it pretty good here in PWC as the signoff is painless.

I have yet to get down to TSC but the only thing I would need from them is possibly the "tuning" of my pack, if needed and making an extra "timed" burst hammer for me. If they engrave, I would do that as well.

The only remaining build that I need is to convert a 94 to a SD but think that RDTS will get that. My previous builds were before I moved to VA and IGF did those.

    Thanks again,

    Chris

    Chris,

I have not heard back from the Arlington guy, but here is what Mike of TSC Machine told me. This Arlington guy is a customer of TSC Machine. He remembers the Arlington guy telling him that two detective types showed up at the guys house (by appointment). The guy was fairly "on edge" about this, but turns out the detectives were real professional. They asked to see his safe, but he didn't own one. They asked to see where he was going to store his guns. He tells them the bedroon closet. They said, no way, that's the first place a thief would look. They told him to...get this...store the guns under the kitchen sink behind pots and pans. No thief ever steals your fine kitchen ware. All in all, the guy said it was a very positive experience. That was a number of years ago, things may have changed. I'll get back to you when I hear first hand from the Arlington guy.

    Chris,

I noticed your post before, but didn't want to say anything because I wasn't 100% sure. From what I remember (could be wrong, or maybe they've changed things), but I seem to remember you can get an LEO signoff in Arlington. My memory tells me they require you to have a safe, and they require a home "inspection"/interview before they sign off. I don't think it was any big deal, in that they weren't searching the place, they just wanted to verify the owner wasn't a kook and had a reasonable means to keep the gun secure (safe).

There's another member here who I think lives in Arlington, I'll contact him by PM and find out. He isn't on the boards all the time, so it may take me a bit. Also, I do quite a bit of business with TSC Machine down near King's Dominion. Half his business comes from Northern Virginia...he would know. I'll try and call him tomorrow. I'll get back to you.

    SudS
