Don't forget this range in Orange County, probably the closest one to get too outside of Rockland. Exit 130 off of 17, give me a shout when you guys are coming up!

I've never been to Blue Mountain, but I'd be up for any in Rockland, Orange or Westchester counties. I agree with Don that trying to go out to Long Island would be a bit risky for us without permits for the boroughs.

Here are links for the 3 potential ranges that have been mentioned so far.

    Blue Mountain in Cortlandt

    Master Class in Monroe

    Davis Shooting Sports in Goshen

If anyone is planning on bringing long guns, I'd say Davis is probably the best because they have a 100yard indoor range. The one thing that does suck a little about Davis is that they only let you load 5 rounds per mag. Granted, no one has ever checked up on whether I was loading more than 5 or not, but its one of their "rules".

Lets get a concensus going of who's in favor of which range, and which weekend is preferred, and lets get this sucker set!

I am up for whichever location. So long as I can bum a ride, count me in. September looks good to me as well. I heard the Red Sux fans are nervous as hell that their lead has been cut down to 5 by the Yanks and we're in the wildcard mix. :D

i also have a couple of acquaintances with some property approx, 10 acres and another person with more. i will see if we could pay to use this land and have a cookout.

no 5 bullet limits. no other hassles.

at least one of them is a shooter. he talks about going shooting all the time up there. he's a retired leo.

don't get any hopes up. i'll have to see if he's even willing to let us do this.

could everybody pitch in $30-50 for this?

Count me in for that Don. $30-$50 is more than reasonable. If there's a Walmart nearby, we can raid it for all their cheap ammo and cheap food supplies!

I've got no problem pitching in for shooting on private land. I'd probably spend at least that going to a range anyway, so its definitely reasonable.

Depending on how far of a drive it is, I'd probably be down. :)

don't get your hopes too high yet guys. i would still plan on going to davis at this point. i think the land is in the middletown area.

i thought if we did outdoors we could have some form of competition. bowling pin, improvised uspsa stuff, and bullseye.
    have some fun with it...

Well, I just put down a deposit for a P30 with Davis (don't even know his price yet, but if its unreasonable I'll just get a refund on my deposit). He's got one order so as soon as it comes in, its mine...all mine!! lol

Hopefully it will be in soon and I'll have time to get the paperwork completed before the shoot so we can give it a good workout ;)
