    Thumbs up GSG5 Range report

First of all, this gun is a hoot to shoot as is. Trigger has a good amount of creep but nothing that can't be remedied at a later stage. I for one don't find the stock all that cheap. Frankly I find that I have a better cheek weld on it than on my BW5 with a A2 stock. Goobled up 220 rounds without one hiccup. Fired 70 rounds of CCI Mini-mag 40g, 100 rounds of CCI Mini-mag HP 36g and 50 rounds of CCI Stinger HP 32g. Mags were easy to load to full capacity of 24rds although my only complaint was you couldn't hold the mag when firing because it interferes with the slide guide on the side of the mag. I did not test the gun for true accuracy. All firing was done standing up unsupported. I mainly wanted to test the function of the gun and it performed flawlessly. I never even bothered adjusting the rear sights. That will be for another day. Now I need to buy 8 more mags, SBR this puppy, get a can and another 10K rounds of Mini-mags and I'm set. :D:D
    Pics are as follows-
100 rds rapid fire from 20 yds

70rds rapid fire from 15 yds

50rds rapid fire from 25yds- shows the gun favoring left but actually it was shooting high, didn't have the chance to edit photo.
    What the hell?

Do you think there is any way to fix the issue of not being able to hold the mag during firing? Would there be a way to shim the mags or maybe the inside of the lower reciever so that they wouldn't misfeed? Thanks.

ETD...ARGGGGG, just re-read your post and see that it's the slide guide on the mag and not a feeding issue. Still, is there a way to hold the mag to stop this from happening?

    Default Great!

Looking good. Looks like a much tighter group than the ones I shot last week!

I'm looking forward to another range trip with mine over the 3 day weekend.

Why exactly would you WANT to hold the gun by the magazine???

Just learn to shoot it while holding it on the front grip like intended.

ps. Good review. I love the little GSG5 myself. Shoots well, looks great.

Just a suggestion but if you resize your pics to a Max of 720 pixels wide you'll help folks with dial up and won't overun the frames.

I don't understand this. Why have I heard this from multiple people? I have a real MP5 and I've never held onto the mag while firing. If you're having stability issues get you a forearm with a verticle grip. JMHO

Ohh, and thanks for the range report, JumpmanUSC.

Or here's a crazy idea, why not let people shoot the way they are comfortable instead of telling them how any way other than your own is wrong...

I would never insist that anyone do something, just because I would or wouldn't. That's why, when I made the statement (a reply to MrNuke7571) I ended it with Just My Humble Opinion.

Sorry if my reply was insulting on any level, that was not my intention.
