ANOTHER happy camper - thanks for the report-
Took the new HK45C V1 to the indoor range yesterday. Brought one 8 round mag and a 10 round mag. I shot 230 grain ball ammo Remington UMC green box and a box of Winchester Ranger RA45T 230 grain JHP. Both ammo's load without any issues. Both shot 2 inch groups at 15 yard. I was very impressed with the felt recoil or in this case lack of. Compared with my Glock 21SF there is a noticeable difference in felt recoil. The recoil reduction/ buffer system works very well IMO. I was suspect of shooting the gun with the extended 10 round mag wondering if the mag would throw off the balance in the gun. Balance was not an issue at all. I also shot the gun with both replaceable back straps. There numbered 1 and 2. Number 1 is thinner at the top and 2 is pretty much strait from top to bottom. I preferred number 1. I had a very positive grip with number 1. I would not be surprised if H&K released other back straps for the gun in the future. All safety features worked perfectly. Always a good idea to drop the hammer testing the safe decocking system at the range than your home. I'll be looking for the 15 round magazine that will be out in the future. That would be a good home defense option. All in all a great gun in keeping with the tradition of fine, quality firearms from Heckler and Koch. If you were thinking of purchasing the standard or compact model think no further.:83:

Thanks for the report!
Just picked mine up a few weeks ago, great compact.
Recoil is manageable for a Compact 45, and for me it fits just fine in my hand.
One of the best I've owned in 45
"....you have three pistols and you only have one arm for Christ's sake."
"Well I just don't want to get killed for lack of shootin' back."
(Unforgiven)
A buddy of mine has one. I didn't think I'd like the extended grip but it works great for my big hands (though, a bit unsightly, IMHO). That weapon made me look like a good shot! Very impressed.
Thanks for the report!
Is there a big difference between the HK45C and the HKUSP45C? I have been looking for a HKUSP45C. I just want to make sure it is the right one I am looking for.
you only decock at the range?
Red Leg, Red Leg, River Bravo two.. Check your fire, check your fire!
i love mine, too. And she loves me back!
Dookie!
I have a 45c and the first time I took it to the range I was also impressed with how acurately I could shoot with it. I have had a Glock 30 for a few years, and did not think any "compact" .45 could shoot better than it. Both are great guns, but I think I can shoot precise shots with the 45c better than the G 30. Each gun has it positive points. The 45c has certainly become one of my favorite guns. Now they have to work on the "extras" to make it more popular (i.e. holsters, night sights, rail lights, etc.)
I'm very surprised only one manufacture makes night sights. 145.00 is kinda pricey for tritium sight IMO. Other than that the gun is great no complaints.
