Unless you've got CC Permit that Tenn honors, you must have the gun separated from the ammo. You can't carry it loaded and concealed.
I will be traveling through TN on my way to NC and was curious if I can carry a loaded concealed gun (in my car) through the state. Arkansas requires a Concealed carry permit to do so.
What are transport procedures for a hand gun through TN?

Either the gun or ammo must be out of hands reach, unloaded of coarse and not together unless you got a handgun permit then can carry concealed and the permit has to be recognized by TN.

In Tennessee, there is no distinction between a concealed carry permit (CC)and a regular carry permit (because the only available permit covers everything). If you have a CC permit or regular carry permit in darn near every other state that issues permits, you are fine in TN. Concealed or open carry doesn't matter at all in my state (TN that is). All you need is a permit.

P.S. Is what part of the alphabet would look like without the Q and the R. But you can also find carry compatible states on the NRA website. TN honors most, (if not all) of them.
