The paper incorrectly speculates that Umarex is one of the new owners. The most important victories are in the Senate, where gridlock can now be replaced with momentum for the appointment of federal judges and Supreme Court justices who are capable of interpreting the Constitution, instead of engaging in liberal judicial activism, one of the last remaining venues for the advancement of a bankrupt ideology. This means much for decades to come, not just the next two years. The article appears to say that the U.S. military is investigating the lower part of the OICW (essentially a G36K) as an M4 comparable stand alone assault rifle for selected troop deployment, for those fielding the XM29/OICW (not general troop M16 replacement). Read the ATK press release here. 10.18.2002: Symbols Page updated with HK firearm serial number prefixes. 10.17.2002: Visier Magazine Online announces that Heckler & Koch has won the contract for the replacement of the service handgun for the police in the German state of Baden-Württemburg.
