    Hi Chuck,

It looks like the extractor is different too. If so, does anyone know if they are interchangeable?

    Thanks,

    Mark

Not sure about the extractor, they look the same size, just milled different. I can tell you the the new style bolt head will not work in an early gun. Won't even go into battery. I am still in the hunt for an old style bolt head. Augistine has one, the usual wait to import it. I would like to find one in the USA and buy his also.

just a bump on this, you say the old design is on the right and the top. are you sure that is right? as isn't the one on the left, the one on the top?

my bolt head looks like the left/top one anyway. so is it old or new?

If it is like the one on the left, it is the newer style bolt head and fairly easy find. e bay Gun Broker etc.

I just took apart two guns to double check.

I will PM you a few other sources.

Call Numrick and see if they have a complete bolt head, not just the shell.

What is the date code on your gun?

I'm not sure, it has a 74 on the right side, by the trigger. before the serial on the slide, it looks to have a 'S3' or 'SB' inside what loooks like the BWB eagle which is listed as being removed from P& pistols in the symbols thread. serial is 105 262 if you can't make it out on the barrel
