Guys, got the clarification needed. Too bad I am not the winner but would like to congratulate the premium member who got the chance to win.

    Ciao!

I'm not a premium member at the time, but I would like to say that this was a really generous gesture by Augustine Gun Parts. Especially for them to do it on a day that is dear to Americans. What a great sponsor and company.
Congratulations to the winner of the competition.

Very, very, generous. As the winner of the contest, I am extremely confident in these two great companies working in concert. Will keep everybody updated as things progress.

It just keeps getting better. Marc has an "open permit" for the p8, which he describes as being something new. Sounds like it might shave ~3-4 months off the time the process normally takes.

    Folks,

Sorry for the lack of updates. Here's one.

It took Ted and I a while to line things up, he was taking some vacation time and a couple of emails went missing. It turns out that was a good thing.

I was put in touch with with Margie from MMB Imports. From my research, their fees are very reasonable and their reputation exemplary. After a couple of emails and a phone call, I know I am in good hands.

    MMB Imports, LLC

I started emailing Margie on 9/9 and had to come up with some information on the P8 (Ser#, Overall Length, Barrel Length) and give them my address. I did not get them a copy of my LGS FFL until late Monday afternoon.

By Tuesday 9/13, they had submitted for a permit to import. This will take 4-6 weeks, and then Augustine can start the export process. MMBI has told me that they will provide me with an update every two weeks, and that it would be unusual for the process to take more than 3-4 months.

    I will keep you posted.
