Default New CA Bill AB-3071 bans all lead ammunition in California

Just a heads up for those of you who live in California:

I feel sorry for all of you who live there.

New Bill: AB-3071 Lead ammunition: shooting ranges.

    Date Published: 02/21/2020 09:00 PM

This bill would prohibit a sport shooting range or an indoor shooting range, as defined, from selling or giving away ammunition unless that ammunition is certified as nonlead ammunition by the commission. The bill would also prohibit patrons or employees of a sport shooting range or an indoor shooting range from firing ammunition unless it is nonlead certified and would require a sport shooting range and an indoor shooting range to post a specified sign to that effect.

Basically, this bill will ban all lead ammunition in California and you cannot shoot it at any indoor or outdoor range.

SO if this bill passes and you have a large quantity of 'lead based' ammo, what can you do with it that does not end up with you in jail.

And what will that do to those that are still in Cali and are FED UP???

Can't say, but it could be really bad. For those that passed the law not those that willingly ignore it. It's getting closer by the minute.

Concrete poisoning is not that common, you know how it is. It's not the fall the kills you, it is the sudden stop at the end with concrete deceleration involved. That sudden stop is rapidly approaching.

So what I read is that the range itself cannot sell or give away the ammo. Pretty sure that would wrangle in sporting goods stores as well. However I see nothing indicating possession by private persons is prohibited. Further the use of lead ammunition is outlawed for hunting and up for a usage ban at a range or facility. I dont see anything about private use on private land. In order to stay proficient if someone is limited to a designated range or facility they would be affected by this legislation. In turn it creates in my mind a surplus of SHTF ammo caches held by private citizens. I am not a lawyer so none of this is a legal opinion in any way just an observation shared with like minded shooters.

Also curious how this will effect LEO / MIL training & sales/purchasing - I am a firm believer that if it is imposed upon the citizens ALL govmnt should conform as well - and I am a serving LEO.

Wearing away at the edges--- ammunition, licensing, etc.!!!
Don't lawmakers there have more important matters to worry about--- homelessness, drug addiction, COVID-19?

Nope! They are first and foremost social warriors, that's what matters to those people. If they can squirt lemon in the eyes of conservatives and strengthen their own standing (and power) among fellow Libs, they go to bed feeling accomplished. Simple as that.

Remember, this is their plan all along:

You have to first disarm the people and destroy the middle class to make everyone poor for socialism to work. In the end, all that is left is poor people and the rich law makers. This is the foundation of the democratic / socialist party.

Here is a classic example of the stupidity of these lawmakers—who, quite literally, are incapable of grasping the moral of a children's fable like The Boy Who Cried Wolf. By putting this label on basically everything, all they have done is train consumers to ignore warning labels because they are meaningless. Now thanks to these idiots, when you have something actually toxic or dangerous good luck convincing anyone of the fact.
