    Yup, in the new york times today there was a picture of a soldier with a full size G3 and a caption saying "soldiers watching the burning marijuana" Looked to me like they were getting stoned first hand. Anyhow, a great G3 sighting.. Kind of interesting that you don't really see any .223 pop guns around areas that lack rule of law. What I mean by this is that .223 is great for hitting unarmed targets but as soon as you have some armored up renegades you see the Ar's and even the Ak's go away quickly and you see lots of .308 cannons back in play.

    I think they still use the G3 due to monetary issues, they simply don't have the funds to upgrade to the FX05?
    I was in Mexico 10 years ago and the "security" at the airport held G3's ~ three guys stitting on a baggage carrier
    having lunch :) I would imagine they would rather all have the smaller lighter FX's
