I moved from the Peoples Democratic Republic of California to the People's Socialist Republic of Washington. I have since moved to the West (Best) Coast of Florida to Sarasota on the Gulf. I've never looked back. I love the weather, the firearm freedoms and the access to the Gulf. I hope you enjoy your new home.

Thanks Web. I'm on the East side, due to my wife's family yada yada. Would've moved to a more rural area so now I need to travel at least 1 1/2 hrs to a decent range.

+1 - I live in the area you are moving to and the best way is to shop online and ship it a local dealer. I find transfers as low as $20.

Lived in Florida for a few years. Great state to be in if you're a firearms enthusiast. I was in the Bay area and would usually shop online and then transfer since most of the FFLs in my area were asking a hundred plus more than prices I was finding online. Not sure if that's changed or not since I left. Saw the thread and thought I'd chime in. Enjoy the Gunshine state.

Same with dealers here in NE FL. In general, prices at local stores are pretty high compared to online, but it's like that in most locations.

Hooked up with a terrific dealer as of late, the man that handled the transfer for my HK 91. LEO's, Feds, enthusiasts, sportsmen, free donuts, hunters, regular guys, family men, couple vets on the opposite side of the counter, chairs for older guys like me, a settee as well ( little couch), and folks who won't bother me for run on sentences, or maybe they will. They are in Margate.
