Default What happened to the state forums?

The individual state forums that use to be on this site are gone? Any idea what happened? Did I miss something?

Traffic had slowed to next to nothing in the regional sub-forums. For the sake of efficiency and simplicity, that entire section was shuttered.

Well that's unfortunate. With little traffic, I'm not sure it was a moderation time issue. Storage space is cheap and CPU cycles low. I'll miss it.

    I don't have a strong preference.

As a relatively new member of the HK owner's club it would be cool to have a "Texas" sub-forum for meetups and other HK-related events.

If there is almost no message traffic, why manage it?

Conversely, if there is so little traffic - how much management does it take? And why deep six it? I would gladly volunteer to moderate the Michigan sub forum if that is an issue.

The States section is helpful for fellow members to more effectively communicate on statewide matters/interests/meetings/communications--- allows members to know which others are in their States!!!
