We just came back from seeing the new movie "Robin Hood" and I liked it with Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx -well done. I left feeling I had just seen a fantasy historical PREQUEL to the John Wick series, there is a reason for that. Bear with me.
While watching Robin Hood, I saw a scene from "The Italian Job" - from the 9 sec mark to the 26 sec mark in Robin Hood
And you could definitely see John Wick's influence on the movie as well - the 5:12 mark to the 5:24 mark
So while it's definitely a stretch to even put HK in this movie, the truth is, because of Keanu Reeve's excellent acting in the John Wick series, where HK pistols did play a pretty big part, there is a connection
Plus Reeve's influence of OTHER action movies like this Robin Hood and like Peppermint, where Jennifer Garner in a 'Revenge Thriller' is where Garner plays the John Wick character as a female protagonist - at the 5:47 to the 5:55 mark
Sheesh, I can't even go to movies these days without relating it back to the black and red of HK
apparently I'm not the only one

I dont get it, most of the refernced movies were made before JW. ??
Looper youtube links? click baits. You made me click
If I associate HK with a movie hero, it will be rather Tom Cruise in MI or Collateral. Eli. JW? He seems to use whatever he can grab, and he betraitored HK in the second part.
The new fake "Robin Hood" movie was just plain awful. The dialog, re-imagined story, acting, etc were all irredeemably awful. The movie is utterly unwatchable.
Well, that's ONE opinion.
ME? I flat loved it.
Some times you just have "to let art flow over you" - you know, enjoy it, after all - IT'S A MOVIE
Robin hood with a USP... that'd be a cool plot
