    Ummm... for what purpose?

If all you're going to do is make a non-suppressed SD lookalike, why not just buy the SD clone shroud from E&L Manufacturing? Sure would be a lot simpler, not to mention a hell of a lot cheaper...?

You need to look further down the road than just the barrel. You need to know what you're going to use for a suppressor. It's a 5.73" long barrel, the factory one looks like this:

The exact dimensions of the threads, and the reduced diameter that's centers in the suppressor only need to match your suppressor. Are you making that as well, or buying one from someone else?

form 1 the suppressor.what i needed for dimensions was really just the chamber end : chamber and of barrel OD to interface with ID of trunnion, and the 'radius' on the barrel chamber .
    THANKS

The barrel OD is .86780", the radius at the rear end of the chamber is .09375". I get about 1.218" for the length of the cylindrical surface that's pressed into the trunnion.

Don't mean to dig up an old thread but, since this is the only one that seems to mention the MP5SD 9mm barrel specs, I think the specs specified by @AviatorDave may be (not saying that he is) incorrect or that I misunderstood.

The barrel of the SD 9mm past the ports on the German barrel has a OD (outer diameter) of about 0.560, not 0.867, as 0.867 would not clear the first few baffles in most MP5SD 9mm suppressors.

Anyone can clarify this anomaly or did I overlook something?

If you look at post #5, he was asking only about the section of the barrel that contacts the trunnion, not the part of the barrel past the ports. I don't have an SD barrel, so I have no idea what they would be.
