Default HK91 Flute Cleaning Brush Question

Question for you guys and gals. I bought the HK91 flute cleaning brush pictured below. What I expected was for the disk portion to be flexible, squeegying the flutes clean, pushing the crud up into the barrel, where it would then be pushed out the end. Instead, it's rigid What is the proper way to use this brush?

    Thanks!

I would venture that you push it in until the disk stops it and then simply rotate. The disk probably is there to keep you from shoving the brush down into the bore where the bristles would become compressed and no longer function to clean the flutes.

    Thanks, Steve.

    Got this from Adam Webber:

The disc is vital so it does not extend BEYOND the flutes of the chamber. Simply put the brush in and out and slightly rotate to clean the flutes.

In & out is what I do. I don't see rotation doing anything beneficial.

HK or not, I just can't wrap my head around spending $30 on something that a $0.99 .45 bore brush will take care of just as well.

I have been using a 'modified' (added a plastic stop washer) rifle length .45 bore brush for some time now. Also a 28g bore mop works if you like to swab lots of solvent into the chamber. I have to admit being on a fixed income, so I look for the cheap solution that works.

    The .45 brush works fine.
    Mop idea is also good.

Achtung!!! Never question the price of a German engineered chamber brush! They are HK, we are schweinehunde!

Just tough to clean the flutes. This is looking down barrel inside chamber.

I was thinking the exact same thing.
