Default Adding genuine Navy trigger housing to Walther MP5-22

I haven't posted on here much but have been a lurker for a while. I'm sure several people will (understandably) think this is stupid but I have one of these fun .22 Caliber Walther MP5 clones. I'm currently waiting for my stamp to come back from ATF so I can SBR it, but in the mean time I really wanted the look of a genuine navy lower even although the gun is still only strictly semi auto.

After a fair amount of reading up, everyone says you cant mount a factory navy housing onto the Walther, but after borrowing a 9mm housing from a friend and seeing the comparison I now think that it CAN be done with just a little bit of gunsmithing.

Dropping .22 trigger pack internals into factory 9mm housing - rectangular serial number block needs cut out.

I am FAR from a gunsmithing expert, but the .22 housing fits just fine in the 9mm housing and certainly looks like it will work (except from some material that needs removed - which is easy).

I'm off to drop it off today and will post results later once I get it back.

It looks like you'll need the customized MP5 .22 metal mag housing to complete that project :)
