How would you recommend beveling the edge? Stones and/or fine files? Of course I would start slow and only take a little off at a time.
I did my friends with a diamond hone to break the edge and finished with buffing wheel on my bench grinder. It polished to a mirror finish and made a huge improvement.

The carrier is hard material. I used a die grinder to establish the initial profile then a honing stone to polish. I use Brownell's action lube on the carrier and hammer contact face.

Mine's tight as hell too, but it's much easier if you push while pulling the charging handle. Hopefully it will break in with use.

Just beveled my carrier off, it's much smoother now.

One thing I felt a need to do was place a bevel on the bolt carrier where it contacts the hammer while cocking. The carrier was being marred from the 90 degree edge of the carrier. The bevel made a huge difference in cocking ease.
    Might want to check yours.
Please provide a pick of where you did the bevel. Curious to see it. Thanks

I use Brownell's Action lube, on carriers, slides and trigger sears. Works great and stays put.

I got my z5rs about a week ago and the overall quality is very good. I pulled it apart to clean it because they did not clean it after test firing it, I noticed the back of the carrier is very slightly rounded and there is a contact mark on the hammer but could not feel it with a fingernail- also it is easy to pull back the charging handle all seems ok.MKE Quality-037.jpgMKE Quality-035.jpg
