Other than a modified bolt carrier, what are these other desirable features that MKE has omitted?

That and the redesigned trigger housing to keep full auto packs from sliding in come to mind.

Because they are not specifically named in the import ban. Our laws are screwy. But even without the laws... Is it financially viable for HK to gear up to produce 9X series guns at the expense of others?

Yep and so does HK with the SP5K as a pistol. With the increase in popularity of braces, I could see HK easily bringing an SP5 and an SP5SD to market as pistols.

I would probably have to ante up some cash for SP5/SD. Hope they will be about the same $ as SP5K.

Keep dreams guys.... nothing wrong with it, just realize it’s still a dream. I think HK’s direction is no where near on bringing a SP5 to market let alone an SD even if you call it something else or it comes as a pistol.

MKE pistol cannot accept a full auto carrier without first removing the block that’s welded in to prevent this. Not a big deal but I’d rather not take a cutting wheel to my new Guns.

Everyone else can do it, except HK. HK can't make modifications to comply with import regs, or to make the ATF happy. Only the Turks are that smart. And the Paki's. And the Belgians, and the Romanians. Oh, and the Bulgarians. And the Swiss. And the Italians.
