    Default PTR barrel cutdown

I have a 18" PTR that I am wanting to have cut down to 14.5 and have a FH pinned. Is there anyone out there who can do it?

You should call ghilliebear2000 at PCS he might be able to help you out.

Cutting the barrel isn't cheap and if you're paying to have it done anyway, you may want to consider just SBRing it.

Forgot to mention, Ghilliebear is widely considered the best for custom work, you can't go wrong with him.

You might try Mark over at Arizona Response Systems. Not sure if these prices are current and wait time might be longish.

If your Barrel is out of the weapon, its less than 1hr job. I just did a g3 barrel to a g3k size yesterday and it took me 40 minutes to cut, turn down and thread. Is your Barrel installed? Or uninstalled?

It would help if we knew where you are. If you are in Florida, I could suggest a smith who did a few for me. GARY

Why not just cut it down to 16" and get it threaded for the regular flash hider? Avoid the potential issues of SBR, retain more barrel for accuracy, and if the HPA passes you will be good to go for a suppressor.

M60Joe can do the work you request without pulling the barrel. He's cut down a couple of PTRs for me to transform them into "K" models. His prices are also very good. Look him up at M60joe.com
