I don’t understand the obsession with absolute cowitness and trigger reset. It is ridiculous. If you have QD mounts it shouldn’t matter too much. Especially when wearing body armor.

I'm going to guess that people like to cowitness so the cheek weld position is the same as aiming with irons. Maybe others can chime in.

Ok... I no longer have a co-witness set up. I opted for speedy target acquisition which my EoTech does very well.

However... with my AimPoint being co-witness.... in the unlikely event the red dot were to fail I dont have to do anything.
The iron sights are available immediately. That might be important.

Like a back-up parachute. Its nice to know its there.

As for trigger reset... I like my reset to be crisp and at the same place each time.
Once you find the sweet spot, you can really throw some lead downrange very fast and very accurately.

As for body armor... my friends in Special Forces dont wear it. Too heavy and restrictive.
So their motto: Dont get shot. LOL.

Those were custom adapters for those type of sights. Check out the group buys or ask Oicani, I think he was the one in charge of the group buy, I'm not sure so he can correct me on it, it's been awhile since I read that group buy post.

Its an RMR mount made for the rear sight base of the MP5, etc. I like the idea but if you have a welded rail your SOL.

I like the option to co-witness incase for any reason the optic doesn't work.

However i'm a recreational shooter and therefore don't use Body Armour.

    Hopefully this helps.

Any of you guys running a red dot high enough to clear the iron sights?
