There is nothing wrong with Om9, decent host, but comparing it to PTR is apples and oranges. PTR is produced by a large commercial company from a brand new manufactured parts on proper brand new tooling, the whole assembly line dedicated for this product. As an engineer, I know very well the difference between commercial production and a relatively small shop.

I Just purchased a PTR91 GI Classic today from Atlantic. My K3P has a rail and that's fine. I'd like a PTR 9C without the rail, and with the sling loop up front.
Until then, I have a few PTR's that I can take out and enjoy.

I would gladly buy that hand guard and give them my classic wide if anyone decides to dump theirs.

Agreed. My PTR 9ct is probably the best MP5 clone I have, and I have them from numerous brands. The fit and finish and overall feel of quality is amazing.

The welds on those look really nice. Beautiful.

I still like the classic handguards, though, if I had one.

Didn't they submit samples for the U.S. subgun trials?

Ok so I broke down and ordered one, (along with a 91 model I've been considering)

Is the SB brace the best way to go? seems like that is what everybody is running.

Is the flashlight on the Surefire hand-guard worth it I plan on using this to shoot night matches with out to 50 yards? I'm thinking A TLR-1 might be better to start with at this point though

Super excited to take delivery on the MP5....its been my absolute dream gun for a long time, only thing that could bridge my love of the 91 and mp5 is a PTR pdw now heh.

Surefire handguard is fine, as long as you don’t suppress.
SB brace is good to go.

Thanks for the quick reply! I noticed RTG is out of stock on the surefire so that may be a item I get down the road. Put in my order and added a mp5 maglula....I think I'll really need it....I've run almost 900 rounds of 9mm through a different kind of 9mm pistol I pieced together a few months back and realizing the shortcomings of it kinda urged this purchase along. Yeah I got ease of magazine logistics with some other guns in the stable but heck I didn't buy a stash of MP5 mags at the last MG shoot for nothing lol

    Default PTR 9CT

Glock mag AR? Yes, been there, shortcomings abound. My clone is everything I hoped that would be and more.
As far as a light, there are plenty of rail mounted solutions out there. I use a pistol light on a rigged mounted handguard rail.
