Default I've caught the disease: Dakota Tactical D54-N

My first HK clone, from Dakota Tactical.

I've got the A2-like pistol brace on the way and if I like that I'm good else I'll SBR it and get a real A2 stock. Will also add a sight to the permanent rail.

My master plan has 2 angles (1) collect push-pin registered receivers, and (2) collect clones + registered sear.

This is going to be fun... and expensive.

That is a very spendy plan.

I'd just go ahead and sbr it while the wait times on the e filed ones is still going quick.

And since you are in Virginia you should check out tsc machine's webpage. He is going to be a go to guy for you if you buy hk registered receiver guns as far as fixing any issues that come up(or other real hk roller lock guns made into clones).

Nice D54. That's how I started my addiction years ago. Btw... I like your acquisition plan.

Take your wife or GF to the range more. If you want her to get the bug, you've got to expose her to the disease.

I love your permanent rail mention. Many people gripe about it and I wouldn't have my clone any other way.

If you do go the SBR route, use 8.85 for the barrel length and 26.77 as the overall length (OAL). ATF requests those in inches, and these are the numbers straight out of the HK MP5 Operator's Manual.
