Damnit, I've never even seen a 'Facory' SW53. I didn't know they existed. After what I went thru with my SW5....

I'm trying to find out if the PO sent it to you for work, or claimed that you built it. Jeff thanks so much for chiming in. I've been chasing one of these 53's for what seems like ever, and every time I get close on one, something happens. Last one was a V53 that the bolt wouldn't close when you inserted a mag (hell-expesnive-to fix no) Mag riding too high and god knows why.

This one looked legit and sounded it. I'm trying to get to the bottom of what the deal is on it.

Jeff, is there any way to tell if you guys worked on the gun? If it's been thru your shop I am all in.

He's telling me PO said he sent it to you for work, and refinish.

Thanks for chiming in, I'm trying to do my due dilligence and not let my excitement outrun my wallet.

Only way will we be able to tell if we did anything To the weapon would if we had the serial number only thing we would have possibly done to it in the past is installed a top rail and refinish.
But they should have an invoice on what was done

Gun is actually an SW53. Current owner found and showed me the original armslist ad from where he bought it.

I don't even know how to value it knowing that now.

I've never even seen a SW factory complete SW53, nor did I know Bailey made them. Receivers by the boatload, sure. But this is the first time I've seen a complete 53 series gun from him. Maybe it's fine. Maybe the bolt gap goes away in a year. Who knows

I had no idea. I don't see much on them.

Jeff how bad were they? My SW5 was..... Well my first roller lock. I knew nothing and it cost me.... A lot. Great gun now with probably zero resale value (not that I would)

I would just try to be patient and find a bone stock Vector V53p and call it a day. You can find them in the low to mid $1k and they are full auto ready. Mine runs great and I know others that do too.

Yeah. I had a line on one for 1200.00

Was all in. Except the bolt won't close when you insert a magazine. I've been looking for the right one for a while.
