The 3rd one is a S&H 9mm SD suppressor reamed out a little for .40 S&W ammo. Filed form 1 to have the baffles opened up
to ensure no baffle strikes and so I could used it on my 40SD.

Yeah, could see the receiver was a .40/10. That's what peaked my interest and the question. Happy with it? Still comparatively loud vs the 9s?

I modified mlock nuts to fit the SDs venting cuts in the shroud.

You have to modify the rubber outer piece. But that's replaceable and cheap. Then you can have best of both worlds. Gucci'd up SD or the classic with the turn of a few nuts and replacement of the rubber guard.

Thats a tough call. The SD rubber grip is by far my most favorite, but I have large hands and I think the MK23 is just right. I do however like the HK vertical grip on the KAC rail and K foregrip so maybe an interesting hybrid. I assume the rail is part of the cage and the handguard was cut to accommodate?

I think I'd just put rail covers on it and call it good. The old surefire ones are the nicest ladder covers if you can find any. If you hate it, remove and sell.

Yes, I like it. I put my registered sear burst pak trigger group on it and shoot it full auto. The suppressor can
be disassembled for cleaning but cleaning any SD is a time consuming endeavor. After the military along with age
my hearing is not what it used to be to say the least.

Man, I wish I had the funds to play with the toys you guys have. Even just to fire a real full auto would be such a blast.
