Default Changed out the trigger housing...what safety do I need?

Got my new C/P trigger housing from HK Parts today, but failed to take the selector into consideration. PTR9CT with a right side only selector (old SEF style with the detent that engages dimples in the housing.) The factory selector doesn't work on the new style trigger housing, that is obviously cut for an ambi. Housing is an 0,1.

Looking at HK Parts, I can't determine which one I need. Deductive reasoning leads me to believe this is the one, but I don't see anywhere for the detent on the right to engage the housing.

For a polymer SEF housing you need a long axle

However that's what I'd expect on the PTR

Show us your new housing, please. Is it an AMBI housing? If so, your PTR pack is still SEF and won't work in housing.

Yep. Just spoke with HK Parts. Trigger pack won't work.

Nope it sure won't. The switch from SEF to Ambi requires a wholesale change of the entire trigger group... housing, selector and trigger pack. None of it is backwards compatible, except some of the trigger pack internals. If you only desire the Ambi set up for function, there is a specialty ambi selector designed for SEF groups. However, if the look of the pictograms is what you are going for, then yeah, thats what you're gonna have to do. (Short of a couple other "funky" options that I really don't recommend.)

Sure enough. All I was going for was aesthetics, but going from SEF to ambi isn’t worth $600+. It’ll stay the way it is.

    Appreciate all your assistance.

If you want to use your SEF trigger pack on a Navy housing, I would recommend this from GatewoodSupplyCo. This is what I’m using on my POF SMGPK pistol.

I also installed a Navy style ambidextrous selector that I purchased from HKParts.net.
