    I recently purchased a ptr 91 gi from Atlantic and there is a cocking tube gap and attached are some pics. Should I be worried?

    Nothing to worry about it will not cause any problems or issue with the weapon. Hope this helps

    Can you be more specific with your concern? Is it that the cocking tube is off to one side? Usually when peolle use the term cocking tube gap the are referring to the distance between the cocking extension on the bolt carrier and the cocking lever support that is critical to proper operation.

    My first PTR looked exactly like that. I sent it back to them and they corrected it.

    I encountered that when trying to google the issue. I'm concerned if it would do any lasting damage or throw off the sights, or any other ill effects.

    No it's more of a cosmetic thing the cocking tube is supposed to not touch the sides But have seen many of guns that it have been like that for years and no ill effects

    If you remove your dust cap on the end you can tell how much is touching a Easier.
