It looks like a factory PSG-1 case. Not an everyday find...

But the rifle is not a PSG-1. It looks like a G3 SG3.

    Reginald,

This is the case that the G3SG1 rifles are normally stored and shipped in. I believe they are factory from the stand point that the rifles left the HK factory in these boxes; however, I'm not sure if they were made by HK or subcontracted to a vendor that specialized in this type of product. Someone will chime in with the answer in awhile.

The last time I saw one for sale was about ten years ago and it was Euro 150.00. I thought that was a lot for a ply wood box, but now I'm sorta kicking myself that I didn't pick one up. I guess I could write ZIB and see if they have an empty one laying around, but I think they are using them as a bonus accessory if you buy one of their deko rifles.

This is not a PSG-1 case as the PSG-1 is to long to fit. Look closely and you will see how the stock and flash suppressor fit into the ends of the case. The case for the PSG-1 is of a higher quality and the foam insert was cut specifically for the PSG-1.

Here is a PSG1 case for comparison. They came in few different types during the production run. This one seems to be a typical example of the configuration.
