I bought one of the last DJ Getz builds before he retired. I paid just under $2k which seems like a smoking deal now! I remember looking at Brethren and couldn't stomach the price either. Not after getting a whole gun for under 2k that has run like a top minus the broken roller retaining plate which will happen to any of them.

Do you know what the lawsuit was concerning? I'm familiar with the majority of what HKParts themselves had to deal with but didn't realize they had any challenges with Brethren.

Man that Dave Getz was a good dude, I was sorry to see him get out of the game.

Indeed. I called him once to find out more about his builds and we talked for about 30 minutes. I posted on here about my roller retaining plate breaking and he replied to my thread and mailed me a 3 pack.

Have to concur. He gave me a few upgrades when I purchased my 89 and SD together. They were my second and third clones and I'll likely never let them go. Exceptional individual to talk to on the phone even though I came about when he was getting out of the game. He set the mark pretty high, as have all the other reputable manufacturers who continue doing good business for their customers.

I sent Brethern a C93 to have them refinish and then remove the factory flash hider and reinstall a suppressor Mount.

It ended up being a complete clown show dealing with them. I went with them due to their price being the best I could find.

They screwed up the color and I had to send it back, then the forgot to install the flash hider I wanted, parts did not get sent back. Just a total circus.

I spared no effort posting about their $&[email protected] show every time their name came up after that. I am an easy going guy and things happen and I understand that and have no problem with that, but they handled their mistakes incredibly poorly, so game on at that point.

Dave Getz - he got me into this stuff so I should hate him for costing me lots of $$$! In all seriousness DJ was great, got my first clone at the height of the Obama gun ban scares so he was busy but he made time for me and that made me a repeat customer.

+1 for Dave. We spoke several times. I just never needed anything when his guns were available.
