    Default Brownells Build Wrapped Up

I snagged a Barrel and Lower from Brownells on Black Friday. Decided to assemble a 14.5 rifle for this project.

I used San Antonio Lazer Engraving and D.Wilson MFG for the chop/profile and pin/weld.

Ive only put a few rounds down the barrel but once we get some more dry weather ill stretch it out and see what this barrel has.

    Parts list:

    Upper
    Brownells 16in Barrel
    MR556 Unmarked Stripped upper
    HK Charging Handle
    HK Forward Assist
    HK Plastic Dust Cover
    HK Non Adj Gas Block
    HK piston/rod
    MR556 BCG

I had the Upper engraved with AF date code and numbers similar to most true 416 uppers while including the last portion of the BRN4 lower

    Lower
    MR556 Trigger
    Basic LPK
    HK buffer Retainer/Spring

Looks great! Did you assemble the rifle yourself? If so could you recommend which tools were useful during the process of assembly?

I use the Geissele reaction rod with Geissele barrel nut wrench that comes with one of their AR15 rails. These are very easy to assemble yourself.

The HK doesn't really differ from a normal AR rifle. Vise blocks and a reaction rod are great tools to have. Only specific tool would be for the barrel nut.

Okay, thank you for that info. Do you know where the barrel wrench is available? I've seen them as out of stock on most websites

Did your Geissele barrel nut wrench work fine for installing the HK barrel nut?
