Yeah, I already have an 07/02SOT. I have mad cad skillz, yo. I have a Bridgeport, Miller 200DX tig welder, and other shop equipment in my garage. And access to a few million worth of CNC equipment at work for gubmint work. We're on 4 day work weeks due to this silly virus, so I could use any of it on any Friday do do whatever I want. What I don't have is an MP7. I saw one a while back, but it was $7,000. If I could borrow one for a week, I could reverse engineer the whole thing.

What you need is $2000 so you can go buy a B&T TP9-N. That's exactly what you think you are going to create. Not to be discouraging, but whatever you come up with is never going to be as nice as the B&T. Save yourself the time and go work on your social skills instead. :)

Meh. The TP9 is just a tarted up Steyr TMP/SPP. If there were that much of a demand for it, Steyr wouldn’t have sold the design to B&T. I wasn’t impressed with my SPP.

Takes about $1m to do what you’re talking about because you’ll need to scale in order to be profitable and then maybe 6mos for r&d if you decide to go to another round

What would the caliber be? 5.7x28? 9mm? 22TCM?

I can see the appeal of the mp7 layout, polymer chassis/receiver, mag in the grip to reduce size, gas piston operation to keep the bolt parts light, guessing it could be tune-able as well, maybe even multi caliber.

I would be interested in a braced pistol option of this that shoots 7.62x25. It is a favorite round of mine, and the platforms that shoot it are few and far between. I feel it is a better choice for a pdw round than 9mm, and a bit easier to package than 10mm. 22tcm could be ab option, but I am not sure it is any better than 5.7x28. Not too many mainstream calibers to choose from for this form factor.
